Clippable Labs Inc (“we”, “us”) operates Scanning Cards at https://scanningcards.com. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website, apps, and related services we provide under the Scanning Cards name.
Who we are
The business that controls your information is Clippable Labs Inc. Contact us at scanningcardsllc@gmail.com. Scanning Cards is the consumer product; Clippable Labs Inc is the legal entity responsible for it.
Information we collect
- Account data. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google. We store a user id so scans and purchases stay on your account.
- Card photos and scans. Front and back photos (or slab photos) you upload or capture, plus the analysis we generate from them.
- Purchase data. Stripe processes payments. We receive a Stripe customer id, payment amount, and whether a charge succeeded or was refunded. We do not store full card numbers, CVC, or expiration dates.
- Usage and device data. Pages you visit, approximate browser and device type, and IP address as seen by our hosting provider (Cloudflare).
- Support messages. Anything you send to scanningcardsllc@gmail.com or through in-product support.
How we use it
- Provide sold-price lookups and raw-card grade estimates.
- Create and secure your account, and enforce credit balances.
- Process payments and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Fix outages, review errors, and improve accuracy.
- Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with processors who help us run the product:
- Stripe. Payments. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to card data they collect at checkout.
- Supabase. Database, file storage, and authentication.
- OpenAI. Card photos are sent to generate grade estimates. Do not upload images you are not allowed to share.
- Cloudflare. Hosting and content delivery.
- Google. Sign-in only, if you choose Google.
- Comp and market data providers used to look up historical sales.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or Clippable Labs Inc, or as part of a merger or asset sale, with notice where required.
Cookies and sign-in
We use cookies and similar storage that are required to keep you signed in and to protect the session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on Scanning Cards.
How long we keep it
Account, scan, and purchase records are kept while your account is open and as long as we need them for taxes, disputes, and security. You can ask us to delete your account and stored photos by emailing scanningcardsllc@gmail.com. We may retain limited records where the law requires it (for example, payment records).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to opt out of certain sharing. Email scanningcardsllc@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information.
Children
Scanning Cards is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS, signed-in sessions, and Stripe-hosted checkout so card numbers never touch our servers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
International users
The service is hosted in the United States. If you use it from another country, you understand your information is processed in the U.S.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Material changes will be posted on this page.
